Let’s Walk This Journey Together
We would love for you to join us in worship and Bible study on Wednesdays at The Grove. A Grove is a place where fruit-bearing trees are grown. This is our mission: to plant seeds of the Gospel in the hearts of young people and water those seeds with the Word of God, so they may be rooted in Jesus Christ and bear fruit for Him.
Let your roots grow down into Him and let your lives be built on Him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness. Colossians 2:7

Strong Foundations for Life
At Evergreen, we believe in raising bold disciples for Christ. All have a purpose in His Kingdom. We strive to do this by teaching them God’s word unapologetically so they may have a solid foundation. On Wednesday nights, we serve a meal and teach the Word of God. On Sunday nights, kids have a chance to worship through song and praise at Evergreen Kids’ Praise. We would love for your child to join us!

Pastor Mitch Plyler
Leading with Prayer, Living with Boldness
Pastor Mitch Plyler isn’t just a leader at Evergreen — he’s part of the very fabric of Gurdon. Raised here, Mitch grew up surrounded by this community, and it was here that he felt God’s call to serve as a pastor. After years of faithful growth and preparation, he has recently stepped into this leadership role with a deep passion for guiding others toward Jesus.
For Pastor Mitch, prayer is the foundation of everything. He believes bold faith is born in prayer, and that stepping out in courage is how God’s people grow. With a heart for his hometown, he longs to see lives transformed, families strengthened, and the community of Gurdon encounter the hope of Christ.
